Pablo Correa Prieto

CDIP-recognised primary teacher working in Vaud schools from primary to lower secondary. I take over unfamiliar classes at short notice: clear routines from day one, continuity with the class teacher’s programme, and differentiation for each pupil.

Training

I run professional development on generative AI for teaching teams in schools across the canton of Vaud and French-speaking Switzerland. Three formats: a 90-minute talk and workshop, a half-day hands-on workshop, or a three-session course producing an AI use policy for the school.

No tool to sell: the content comes from Vaud classrooms and from my own work on AI and assessment.

Detecting AI in a student’s work: why reliability is not the question

Detectors have improved, and that settles nothing: a probability about a text cannot ground a decision about a student.

What makes a response work: the information, not the grade

More than 38% of feedback effects are negative. What makes the difference is how much information is carried, not the grade.

Acceptance is not use: what surveys on AI in schools actually measure

Acceptance surveys measure an intention validated against a self-report. Self-reported use tracks logged use poorly.
